Organisational Design and Development Consultant

The Opportunity:

As a member of the European Business/HR Project team support the implementation of a new European Operating Model across all key business functions and multiple sites in the capacity of a Design and Development Consultant with a focus on developing and driving processes to implementing organizational design, functional change requests and developing a job matrix for use in the attraction, development and retention of talent.

The role which starts immediately is for an nine months with the potential of being extended. Reporting to the HR Change Lead/European HRD it will be based in Loughborough for a minimum of four days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with HR Business Partners to design and maintain organizational structure creation processes to support the delivery of committed financial and non-financial programme benefits.
  • Designs and maintains the methodology for job creation and job changes.
  • Acts as a member of the Change Control team to review business change requests with a focus on job/people impacts.
  • Designs and maintains the organizational job matrix and leads a workgroup responsible for writing job descriptions and mapping them to a job matrix.
  • Audits business functions as potential changes of job descriptions are identified.
  • Collaborates with Talent Acquisition, Talent Development and Compensation leads to ensure alignment of job requirements, competencies, career paths and reward.
  • Provides subject matter expertise of analytics, measurements and reporting of OD effectiveness.
  • Responsible for developing workplans and weekly project reporting.
  • Advising/coaching and developing business and HR teams OD skills.
  • Participating in business/HR projects.


Key Skills and Competencies

  • A degree/relevant qualification and hands-on experience which demonstrates knowledge of organization development and design, methodologies, and tools and their applicability to organizational performance
  • An ability to grasp complex businesses issues, diagnose  organizational problems and identify key stakeholders needed to deliver solutions.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, the ability to influence and convince in situations without formal authority and to push back when appropriate
  • Experienced and at ease operating in an international business culture and in a complex matrix organization.
  • Conceptually strong whilst pragmatic and results-oriented and do hands-on change activities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
  • Strong project management and change management skills including the use of e-tools.
  • Enjoys the challenging of coaching experienced Business/HR leads to develop new OD skills
  • Fluency in English is a must with French and/or German speaking skills being highly desirable.
